Plainfield Days

Earlier this month,
we were weekending at my friend Annie's in Plainfield.
We would gather up
food, lemonade, root beer, beer,
wiffle balls,
tie dye kits,
and projectors for movies,
and head out to her country house about an hour away.

We would spend lazy afternoons
picking berries at her neighbor's farm,
hitting up local swimming holes when the heat got too much,
perfecting our wiffle ball swings,
and cooking up lots of food.

This last picture has more of story to it with an announcement, but I'll have to save that for a later post.
And I have to tell you about the breakfast place we went...
and the farm where we got delicious porkchops...
and the wedding we went to last weekend at a summer camp...
and I have to tell you who "we" is...
so much to share!
Stay tuned!

"If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. I would go to more dances. I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies."

Wild Southern Beasts

Beasts of the Southern Wild
 Go see it.
 It is magical.
 And stirring.
And vicious.

Rome Love

I went to see Woody Allen's To Rome with Love,
which did not help curb my recent craving for some Europe this summer.
But it did make me wish for some simple Italian style.
Summer dresses, pinched waists, subtly sexy, wedges.
